CiRBA Announces Channel Partner Momentum and Program Enhancements

CiRBA closes FY 2008 with 400% Growth in Channel Revenue and Invests in Partner Program to Support Growing Demand

Toronto, Ontario – November 19, 2008 CiRBA Inc., a leader in Capacity Management Analytics, today announced changes to the CiRBA Partner Program designed to further accelerate growth within its global network of partners.  CiRBA is making new licensing options available that offer greater flexibility to partners in the marketing, selling, and delivering of “CiRBA Powered Services”. CiRBA recently ended its fiscal year on October 31, 2008, and achieved over 400 percent channel revenue growth compared to the previous fiscal year. 

CiRBA’s Partner Program caters to Systems Integrators and IT consultancies that utilize CiRBA technology in the provision of transformation and capacity planning and management consulting services. CiRBA’s Partner Program supports multiple tiers of services organizations, resellers, and distributors as they guide their customers through critical data center projects such as virtualization and consolidation. CiRBA’s partner categories include:

  • CiRBA Powered Service Providers: License CiRBA software and use it as an integrated part of their services methodology in guiding customers through transformation, virtualization and consolidation initiatives. These partners include IBM GTS, Unisys, British Telecom, Forsythe, Paragon Solutions Group, Logica, Eutelia, Edarat Group, SYSDBA, Virtera and others.

  • CiRBA Resellers: Many CiRBA Powered Service Providers also resell CiRBA when they finish an engagement so that customers can maintain an optimized state over the long term. These partners earn margin reselling CiRBA product.

  • CiRBA Distribution Partners: CiRBA distributors enable their VARS to in turn provide CiRBA Powered Services or to resell CiRBA licenses. Innovative distributors such as Synnex have taken the concept further and are providing complete CiRBA Powered Services to VARS in their network that don’t have the specialized skills to deliver transformational analysis.

Program and Licensing Enhancements

CiRBA is providing new licensing options that match the phases that services engagements typically go through. CiRBA’s commitment to partners is to provide very low cost or free software when services companies are pursuing new business and  not billing for services, then move to normal license fees during the billable phases of engagements. New licensing options from CiRBA include:

  • Proof of Concept License: This new license provides partners with the ability to demonstrate the full power of CiRBA’s solution for up to 25 servers at no charge.
  • Discover & Collect Licensing: This new license is offered in both billable and non-billable (free) options and enables services teams to take advantage of the powerful discovery and data collection capabilities offered by CiRBA for large numbers of servers (up to 1000 for free and unlimited in billable form). This license facilitates detailed assessment of environments from a configuration and utilization perspective.
  • Analytics License: This license enables the full capabilities of CiRBA’s analytics and rules engine. The pre-requisite for this license is the Discover and Collect license.  Prices and discounting are calculated based on the size of each environment on an engagement by engagement basis.
  • Bulk License Pre-Purchase: Services organizations also have the option to make an upfront commitment via the pre-purchase of a block of licenses at an aggressive discount. This enables partners to take advantage of a low “per server per month” software cost regardless of customer size across all of their projects.
  • Software Resale: CiRBA reseller partners may resell the CiRBA solution for ongoing dynamic capacity management at an attractive margin.

CiRBA is also offering partners and customers a rebate on short-term service engagement license costs if a client opts to purchase licenses for long term use after an engagement. A portion or all of the assessment license costs can be applied to a purchase depending on the duration of the long-term license commitment.
